If you are looking for a private mountain getaway that encompasses a peaceful and secluded setting, Dogwood Escape is your answer. Dogwood Escape is in the Brush Creek area about 30 minutes from downtown Bryson City. This private cabin is nestled on 46 acres that offers both adventure and relaxation. Up for a hiking challenge, walk up the carved pathway that ascends 4000 plus feet, or hike up to a platform set up the mountain with a view of Tellico Gap on the Appalachian Trail (AT). If relaxation is your goal, sit on the outdoor porch and listen to the flowing creek, or by the campfire and enjoy some R&R. The kids will enjoy panning for gem rocks to discover the beautiful gems and minerals found in the mountain.
This fully equipped cabin has one bedroom, one loft and 2 full baths. Bunk beds are in the back sunroom. It sleeps 6 to 8 comfortably. The cabin is located low on the mountain and does not require 4-wheel drive.

Before you pack up the car and head for the mountains, know that when we say mountains, we really mean it!

Downtown Bryson City has an elevation of 1,752 feet, so think of this as a starting point. The majority of our cabins will have a higher elevation than this. This means that our roads- both state and private- will be steeper, narrower, and curvier than you may be use to driving. Also, you should expect to encounter gravel roads. Consider it part of our rural mountain charm!
