Before you pack up the car and head for the mountains, know that when we say mountains, we really mean it!
Downtown Bryson City has an elevation of 1,752 feet, so think of this as a starting point. The majority of our cabins will have a higher elevation than this. This means that our roads- both state and private- will be steeper, narrower, and curvier than you may be use to driving. Also, you should expect to encounter gravel roads. Consider it part of our rural mountain charm!
Here at Yellow Rose, your safety is our priority. If a cabin requires 4 wheel, front wheel, or all wheel drive to access it, it will be listed in the description. If bringing or riding motorcycles, please call and ask for motorcycle friendly properties. If you have any concerns about accessing your rental, please call prior to your arrival and we will be happy to discuss it with you.

We had a great time at our stay. There was a bit of newly remodeled features. The bathroom was the only thing we really had issues with as in the flooring was bubbled up between the toilet and shower and the shower didn't seem super clean and was hard to shut off completely. We liked the idea behind the bathroom just not those things. It would of been nice if there was a small washer and dryer but we managed to make due with what we had. Everything else felt nice and cozy. There is a big hairy husky of some kind that would come and visit Everytime we was coming and going. It definitely felt like it was our personal get away home. It's not fancy but it's very cozy. We wished we could of stayed longer.
Great little cabin to stay in. It was quiet. It felt secluded although neighbors are fairly close. Enjoyed hearing the creek running below. Great spot to use a home base for exploring the area. Only a few miles from the Deep Creek Trailhead. Getting to Gatlinburg over Newfound Gap Rd was a wonderful drive. Would do it all again.
After seeing the pictures online, the description, price and the professional website,we were lookingforward to our stay.
Not so after arriving. As per rental agreement, I went through most of the cabin and called and left a message about any problems. No one called me to address any of them, nor did they address them when we went into the office to pick a replacement coffee pot.
The back door was unlocked (track full of dirt)
Bathroom window open
Screens in disrepair
Shower is disgusting, shower never stopped dripping
Bathroom floor is raised and spongey
Fire alarm on kitchen shelf/no batteryCarpenter ants
We packed light because there was supposed to be a washer and dryer/there isn't
Windows in bedroom won't open/did not try living room
Site states mountain views/none
Cabin needs care inside and out including deck, drive
Great, quaint cabin! Perfect for what we wanted! Recommend a small 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. When you get up there though, you’ll love the back deck and tree canopy.
We chose this property due to the price and location. The location was within 10-20 minutes of all of our outings that we had planned for the weekend. We enjoyed the Great Smoky Mountains train ride and hiking on the Deep Creek Trail. The size was perfect for my husband and I. Don't expect a luxurious stay - the amenities are very basic and while it was clean, could use a little TLC. We couldn't get the TV to work, which actually ended being quite nice - no TV or cell service in the cabin all weekend - led to playing lots of cards and board games. Definitely a challenge getting to the cabin which we were advised in other reviews. We opted to take a truck, but had a little difficulty maneuvering the sharp curve to the driveway of the actual property.
We enjoyed our visit at this cute cabin. The location was great, close to town but out in the country. Set on the top of a mountain, it was quiet and great for star gazing. Lots of nice touches like the fire ring set up and a kitchen stocked with a few emergency cooking items! A wonderful getaway from the busy and crazy pace of life.
We love this cabin getaway very quaint. It was perfect to get away and be relaxed. The pathway to the cabin itself was a little difficult I don’t know that all vehicles would make it but mine did. I called yellow rose for them to blow all the leaves off the driveway they were out in less than two hours and blew the whole thing off from the top of where we parked to the bottom where the road was. The pathway was much easier to go up and down the pathway. The whole experience was excellent we go there again
